How to become a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church
You have accepted Christ as your Savior either during our service or sometime before the service; By receiving Christ as your Savior, you first admit to the Lord (Acts 3:23) that you are a sinner and turn your life over to Christ by asking Him (Romans 10:13) to come into your heart and be your Savior. You are a member of good standing in another Southern Baptist Church and you can then move your membership by letter to Shenandoah Baptist Church. You have been saved but have never followed the Lord in Believer's Baptism. Believers Baptism is a beautiful, symbolic picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. You symbolize this by being totally submersed in water. The submersion is symbolic of the death and burial of Christ and the coming up out of the water is symbolic of the Savior's resurrection. Baptist does not save but is the picture of your salvation. (Mark 1:9; Acts 8:38; I Corinthians 15:3-4) You're not a Baptist but believe you have been saved and scripturally baptized. We receive members by each of these four methods. If you have any questions about becoming a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church please give us a call at (512) 258-6909 or email at pastor@shenandoahbaptist.com. |
