Children's Ministry
At Shenandoah Baptist Church, we think children are very important! We have a ministry designed just for children and their spiritual education. The purpose of our Children's Ministry is to:
- Reach each child and his or her family for Bible study and worship.
- Help children understand biblical truth so that spiritual foundations are laid for them to come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior when the Holy Spirit leads them to that commitment.
- Enrich the spiritual growth of each child.
- Provide guidance and opportunities that will help each child develop into a responsible Christian and church member.
- Minister to the needs of children and their families.
Girls in Action - GA's
GA is a comprehensive missions education program, for girls in grades 1-6, which includes praying for missions, engaging in missions action and witness, learning about missions, developing spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, participating in the work of the church, and supporting missions.
Through participation in GA, girls grow in their knowledge, understanding, and application of the Bible. They also learn from the example of missionaries, believers, and hands-on mission action what it means to actively engage in ministering to others with the compassion of Christ.
Royal Ambassadors
A Bible-centered mission education organization for boys 1st - 6th grade.
The RA Motto, "We are Ambassadors for Christ," not only gives the organization its name, but also gives the boys and leaders a lifestyle goal.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that God was reconciling the world to himself is Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God was making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. II Corinthians 5:17-20
Nursery/Pre-school Ministry
The nursery is where we meet the needs of the youngest in our church family. Our time with these little ones - newborn through age three - is spent singing songs, engaging them in play, and teaching simple lessons about our Lord. This ministry allows parents to worship and learn about the Lord during this time.
Mission Friends
A time for our preschoolers to gather and learn about missionaries and what they are doing in other parts of the world.
