Pastor Jeff Moore, Senior Pastor

Jeff began serving as senior pastor of Shenandoah Baptist on December 24, 2017, after serving in a variety of ministry roles at prior churches such as pastor of Baptist Temple Edna; associate pastor of First Baptist Monahans; youth pastor of Towne North Baptist Denton; LifeTeam coach at CrossRidge Church Little Elm; youth pastor at First Baptist Melissa; and many other positions in his more than 28 years of active service to God in churches across Texas. Jeff is passionate about teaching the Word of God and equipping others to carry the Gospel into their community to help others connect with Jesus Christ. He received his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education degree from Baylor University in May 1996 and received his Master of Arts in Christian Education from SouthWestern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2010.

His wife, Catherine, is Jeff’s most cherished blessing of God (outside salvation of course!) and he’s enjoyed their journey through life together since being wed on April 25, 1998. God blessed them with two children: Their son Nicholas is a senior and their daughter Megan is a sophomore at Cedar Park high school. Jeff’s love language is quality time so he enjoys traveling with his family; going for long walks with his wife and children; joining with other fans in cheering on his favorite teams (Baylor Bears, Houston Texans, Texas Rangers); and, of course, just hanging out with church members (each of whom he calls friend).

Jonathan Richey, Worship Leader

Jonathan began serving as Shenandoah’s Worship Leader on October 28, 2018. He was born and raised in Georgetown, TX, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 9. Jonathan is passionate about all types of music, especially Southern Gospel. His love of music was cultivated by his family that was active in the church choir, school band, and even played in a band on the weekends just for FUN! Jonathan has led music in several churches, has a heart for teaching, and has been blessed with a unique gift to teach anyone to sing! He felt the call to ministry in 1998. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Sam Houston State University and taught band in public schools for several years before leaving that career to attend seminary in 2009. He has now obtained a Master’s Degree of Arts in Theological Studies from Austin Graduate School of Theology.

Jonathan has been married to the love of his life and best friend Brooke since 2005. Together, they have 10 nieces and nephews ranging from high schoolers to twin 4-year-olds. Many weekends, they can be found at football games, band concerts, or simply managing their “mini” farm in Rockdale, TX. In Jonathan’s spare time, he enjoys his four dogs (which he considers his children). He also enjoys weight-lifting, running, old muscle cars, and drag racing. Most of all, though, he loves to spend time with his wife Brooke. As a bi-vocational minister, Jonathan works in the transportation industry as well while serving at Shenandoah. He’s committed to serving the Lord and is excited about making a difference in the lives of the people at Shenandoah and in the surrounding community.
